A Bit of Balance
We're committed to making Superpoints fun, rewarding and sustainable. With that in mind, we will occasionally adjust the "balance" of the system, which means tweaking things like how much XP and Superpoints are provided for a referral, what constitutes a referral and what Rewards are available in the Rewards Catalog.
We just released a re-balance today that changes a few things. First, we're adjusting what the person you recruited has to do before you get XP or Superpoints. Before, the recruit had to sign up, validate their email, and click the SuperLucky Button. It turns out that combination was confusing to many people so we've decided to simplify how it works. Going forward, to get XP and Superpoints for recruiting new Members, your recruit has to advance to the Bronze Membership Level. We're also going to bump up the XP to 1,000 and the Superpoints to 2,500 that you earn for a new recruit. Finally, we upped the number of clicks Basic Members get on the SuperLucky Button to 3 per day.
-A Note on Redemptions-
Since our launch a short time ago, we've received literally hundreds of Reward redemption requests. Unfortunately, fulfillment doesn't happen automagically - each one needs to be processed by a live human being that goes through a variety of steps to get that Reward to your door (or inbox). We're working to increase the efficiency of our process, and also hiring a few more amazing Reward Concierges to speed things up. Platinum Members get their Rewards first, and then we try and fulfill redemption requests in a first in, first out basis. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
- Managing Fraud -
Unfortunately, we've had to cancel quite a few accounts this week. Fraud (signing up fake users in your network for points) is a violation of the terms, dishonest, and is hurtful to the community (it also REALLY slows down the redemption process because cheaters muck up the queue). If we find false accounts in your network, your account will be cancelled. It's as simple as that. If you know of someone committing fraud, report them tohelp@superpoints.com. If you're right, we'll give you 10,000 Superpoints.
- Coming Features -
Thanks for all your feature requests and suggestions. In the coming weeks we'll be making the rewards in the reward catalog more visible, adding more rewards, adding more SuperLucky Button designs, and continuing to work on system stability so that we don't have to kick the computer occasionally to reset the SuperLucky Button counts.
